Please see the list below for our eligibility requirements:

The Certificate III in Individual Support is a course that teaches the theories, skills, and practises needed to start a satisfying career in community services. You will be educated and trained in order to build work practices that will improve client outcomes. This certification trains you as a support worker in a residential setting who can assist older people by providing individualised care and coming up with care plans for aged care and disability care institutions. These plans detail care information, protocol, and talk about the institutions’ strengths, challenges, and changes needed in their services. You can ensure that patients receive the right care.
People in aged and disability care are vulnerable populations and need to know that they are being looked after by someone who is qualified and skilled. When you have a licence or are registered, individuals requiring care and their families can trust you as a safe and reliable professional.
State regulations for registration and licensing differ. Community care licences may apply to different professions. In each state, they are regulated by an autonomous authority. To learn more about licences and their requirements, go to the website of the relevant regulatory body in your state.
Caring for the elderly can be a highly rewarding task and one your patients will really thank you for. If you’re looking to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives than the Certificate III in Individual Support is a qualification that will set you on the right path.
The Certificate III in Individual Support reflects the role of an individual who works in a residential facility under supervision, following clearly defined service plans and organisational guidelines. The worker will carry out activities to help clients maintain personal care, or activities involved in an aged care setting; perform activities applicable to an individualised plan. He or she has no responsibility for other workers, and will report directly to a supervisor.
