A certificate III in Carpentry – CPC30220 provides you with essential skills and formal qualifications to be able to work in residential and commercial construction. This certificate teaches you the skills you’ll need to start a career in carpentry or upskill your current career. The units of competency this certificate tests will cover general building skills as well as a specialised field of work. This certificate will ensure that you are competent and know general building skills as well as a specialised field of work.

This qualification ensures that you have basic carpentry skills, can successfully and safely operate all tools, and can work in both residential and commercial settings. This certification implies that you have completed all units of competency either through your previous experience or through training with a registered RTO.

The Certificate III in Carpentry Trade Skills recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment program enables individuals with vast carpentry experience, but without formal qualifications, to attain the required units to receive a nationally recognised qualification and apply for a carpentry contractor’s licence. The program is open to local carpenters with years of experience, or local students who have completed partial qualifications. Migrants can make use of our fast-track programs that convert relevant overseas qualifications and experience into nationally recognised qualifications, provided they are well-versed in Australian requirements and standards.
