This certificate is open to electricians with years of experience. This certificate will get you a level 3 formal qualification to become an electrician. This certificate can help people to enhance their career prospects by gaining new skills, refreshing your knowledge, or updating existing skills. With this certificate, you can upskill, move to new jobs, and/or fill a gap in the industry.

An electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all power and electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial properties. An electrician will install electrical wiring and controls. 

An individuals with wide-ranging electrical experience who is not yet qualified, may use the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician – UEE30820 to be recognised as an electrician. The process of converting skills and experience into a recognised qualification is simple, but it does require commitment.   • Letter from employer on company letterhead, with ABN and Supervisor Licence number, listing your employment duties
  • (must equal a total of 4 years experience)
  • Payslips and Group Certificates (4 years)
  • Reference letters totalling 4 years experience
  • Apprenticeship details, transcripts, previous Certificates of Proficiency
